Little Spring Primary and Pre School  offers high quality learning  for children aged from 2 to 11 years old. The school is situated in the north of Chesham, but also serves  the villages of Asheridge, Bellingdon and Chesham Vale. We are one form entry, with 30 places in each year group. We have a good Early Years unit, that has a pre school and  nursery and reception classes. Children then move through Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.  All key stages are managed by an experienced member of the school leadership team. All our staff are well qualified and committed to provided the very best learning opportunties for our children.

The school, which is built around an attractive courtyard has fantastic facilities. A well equipped ICT suite, as well as computers in every classroom mean that the school is able to deliver high quality ICT. The school also has  a spacious art and DT room, separate cooking area, drama and music area, newly fitted out library  and large well equipped classrooms. Outdoor learning is very important and the school is able to make good use of the different learning environments within the school grounds to enhance the children's learning. This includes our very own woodland area, several playgrounds and field and a wildlife pond.  

The three playgrounds, including a large foundation stage outdoor learning area and a  field around the site are equipped with apparatus, seating and learning areas. The spinney is  used for nature trails, science and environmental work, orienteering and cross country. Outdoor learning often takes place in our new outdoor classroom or in the courtyard.

We have recently added some exciting outdoor play features in both the KS1 and Early Years areas.

The school is one form entry, We have currently around 200  children on role, organised into 9 classes.

There is a well equipped, spacious Early Years. Pre School (Wrens) and Nursery (Sparrows)  open every morning between 8.30 and 11.30.  Our Reception (Robins) class follows the normal school day and  has one intake in September each year.  We have a  lunch club for children aged 3 and 4 where children can bring in their lunch and eat with their friends. 

Chesham Children's Centre use our Early Years department in the afternoons to offer a range of activiites for parents of pre-school and nursery children.

Little Spring School has a Breakfast Club where children across the school can join their friends and chat over toast, cereal and juice.  This is open everyday from 8.00.

The school also provides a number of clubs for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.  These take place both after school and in the lunch break.  These change termly and full details are given out to parents each term.  Also, the school is often involved in local sporting events.

Music Tuition is also offered in a variety of different instruments. Please contact the school office for further information.

We are very proud of our school and our children. A weekly newsletter tells parents about what we are doing in school. We have weekly merit and celebration assemblies and termly class assemblies to which we welcome parents. 

The school has a supportive Governing Body and a Parent Teacher Association, PALS [Parents Association Little Spring]  who raise money for the school and organise exciting events.
