Hello and welcome to our website. On behalf of the staff, children and governors of Little Spring Primary and Pre School, I would like to extend a really warm welcome to our school.  

Little Spring School is located on the outskirts of Chesham and enjoys lovely views of The Chesham Vale. We are very lucky to have beautiful grounds and spacious classrooms. 

The school has a well equipped ICT suite, art, drama, music, nurture and cooking rooms and a well stocked library. We also have our own wildlife area and a range of outdoor learning areas, including a pond, woodland, gardens growing vegetables and fruit,  and a range of outdoor learning equipment. Every day a lot of learning takes place outside.

Our school offers good provision and learning  for all children from  two years old in our Pre school, to the age of eleven in Year 6. Children then move to a number of secondary schools in Chesham and the surrounding areas.

We are a very busy school with exciting learning happening all the time. We offer a wide range of trips and visits, including a residential trip for year 5 and 6. We also have lots of visitors into school to enhance the children's learning. Over the last year children have had trips to St Albans, Portsmouth, Whipsnade, Latimer House, and London.  Pirates and the Gingergread Man have paid visits  to Year 1, Owls to Year 3 and The Egyptians came to Year 5 and 6.  Children  have also made a number of visits to Chesham, including a December visit to the Pantomime by the whole school, which we loved!  Every half term children learn about a different topic and we use visits and topics to really engage the children in their learning. We also ensure that the teaching of literacy and numeracy underpins everything that we do.

We are very proud of our school and an important part of our ethos is working with the parents of all the children in our school. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and stimulating environment in which children of all abilities can thrive, feel valued and develop. The school is happy, successful and inclusive, allowing children to learn and grow within the community.  

All our staff are committed to offering the very best for all of our children.

In the last two years the school has had three Ofsted Inspections, a History subject one [Dec 2009] where we were graded as good, Pre School [Oct 2010] graded as good and whole school [Oct 2010] where Early Years were graded as good. Working with parents is also considered to be a strength of the school.

In other areas the school was graded as satisfactory, with many strengths.
